试析叙事剧《大胆妈妈和她的孩子们》的悲剧性

《大胆妈妈和她的孩子们》是布莱希特叙事戏剧的代表作之一。布莱希特运用他的叙事戏剧理论旗帜鲜明地反对传统悲剧中的净化与共鸣思想,但并不反对戏剧的悲剧性。本文从主题、情节和人物三个方面分析了该剧的悲剧性效果。该剧的独特之处还在于通过陌生化手段阻止了观众与剧情的共鸣,从而使观众更清晰地认识现实,进一步思考现实生活中的悲剧。

Bold Mother and Her Children is one of Brecht’s master pieces of narrative drama. By using his theory of narrative drama, Brecht was unequivocally opposed to the traditional tragedy of the purification and resonance of thought, but not opposed to the tragic of drama. This paper analyzes the play’s tragic effect from three aspects, namely, theme, plot and character. The play is also unique in that it prevents the resonance of the audience by means of unfamiliarity with the plot, and makes the audience have a clearer understanding of reality and consider further on the real-life tragedy.
