也谈“越A越B”——从量范畴的角度看倚变关系

On the Construction 越 A 越 B in Chinese:from the Perspective of Quantity Category

"越A越B"是现代汉语中一个很有特点的格式,从量及变量的角度看,该格式表示两个变量之间的倚变关系,B表示或承载的量值变化以A表示或承载的量值变化为条件,量B随着量A的变化而变化。但从量类来看,A和B表示的量具有不对称性;从量值看,不管A和B是肯定形式还是否定形式,两个量的变化方向都是大量化。

The Chinese construction 越 A 越 B can be described and explained from the perspective of quantity category and quantity changes.It expresses the relation of relied changes of two quantities,i.e.the quantity value indicated by B changes according to that indicated by A.However,there is asymmetry between the two quantity types of A and B,and what’s more,both the changes of these two quantity values get bigger no matter whether A and B are of positive or negative form.
