The characteristics of cast iron production and casting defects due to the operator＇s negligence or improper operation have been described. To prevent the occurrence of such defects, standards for quality inspection process should be developed.The implementation of this standard can control and prevent the recurrence of defects and also a magic weapon for stability and enhancement of the quality of cast iron products.
