Ethylene glycol was one of important raw materials for polyester production.With the rapid development of China′s polyester industry,the consumption of ethylene glycol was also growing.Although the production capacity and output of ethylene glycol in China increased rapidly,it still couldn′t meet the requirement of Chinese market and still needs a lot of imports.The industry and market development situation of ethylene glycol were introduced at home and abroad,and current market situation of ethylene glycol was analyzed.Some suggestions for the development of ethylene glycol industry in China were also put forward.
