On Degree Adverbs in Nonequivalent Comparative Sentences

非对等比较句中出现的程度副词根据其修饰比较对象的程度量不同,可以分为高低区域程度副词、中间区域程度副词、跨区域程度副词。程度副词进入非对等比较句时,类型不同,比较对象的变化规律不一样,比较结果所体现的程度量差也不相同。程度副词的类型不能决定非对等比较句的主、客观性质。程度副词出现在非对等比较句中时,非对等比较句既可以表示客观事实,也可以表示主观评价。

Degree adverbs in nonequivalent comparative sentences can be divided into the following three categories,namely high-/low-range,middle-range and trans-range degree adverbs,according to the different degrees of modification of the objects.In nonequivalent comparative sentences,the different degree of comparison varies with the different types of degree adverbs used and varying properties of the objects under comparison.Different types of degree adverbs cannot determine whether the comparative sentence is subjective or objective.The sentence reflects either objective truth or subjective judgement.
