窦克勤家族与朱阳书院

Dou Keqin's Clan and Zhuyang College

窦克勤是河南商丘清初著名的教育家、理学家。窦氏家族四世讲学,前后长达百年,为中州罕有的教育世家。窦克勤与其父窦大任创建的朱阳书院,承接北宋应天书院之余脉,与百泉书院、嵩阳书院并称清初中州三大理学教育中心,兴盛六十余载,也属封建社会私家办学所少见。

Dou Keqin was a famous educationalist and scientist. Dou＇s elan was a rare educational family in central plains, four genera- tions of whom gave lectures for about a hundred years. Zhu Yang College founded by Dou Keqin and his father Dou Daren undertaking the endings of Ying Tian College of Bei Song together with Bai Quan College and Song Yang College were called Three Science Educa- tional Centers of the central plains, flourishing for more than sixty years, which was unusual in private school runnings in the feodal society.
