Thoughts About the Setup of the Course of‘Structural Ceramics and Their Applications’for the Material Science Specialty

"结构陶瓷及其应用"是新设置的材料科学专业本科生课程。文章讨论该课程设置的必要性,及如何安排该课程讲授内容,使本科生不但可以拓宽知识面,更能将知识体系与实际联系起来,在提高科学素养及解决实际问题的能力上得到培养,为今后进一步深造或参加工作打下基础。

＂Structural Ceramics and Their Applications＂is a new course for the undergraduates in the faculty of Material Science.This paper discusses the necessities of the setup of the course,and how to arrange the teaching content of the course.This course let the undergraduates not only broaden their scope of knowledge,but also relate their knowledge hierarchies to practicality.By taking this course the students can improve their scientific accomplishments and their abilities to solve the real problems,and prepare themselves to pursue advanced studies or go into the workforce.
