摘要
卡尔·桑德堡(1878-1967)是美国现代文学史上杰出的文学家和独具风格的诗人,他是"芝加哥诗人"中最重要的一位。作为亲历战争的诗人,桑德堡对战争的性质和意义有着深刻的了解,他认识到战争是残酷的、恐怖的、荒谬的,被荷马式的英雄主义假象所掩盖的是血与火,生与死。本文拟从研究桑德堡的战争诗中的人道立场来深层剖析他的战争诗歌中所体现的对生命的深层思考。
Carl Sandgurg was an outstanding writer and an unique poet in modern literatural history in America.He was the most important poet among ＂Chicago Poets＂. As a poet who has experienced Spanish American War he understood deeply that this war was evil,cuel and absurd.This paper is to discuss Sandurg’s deep consideration towards life.
