Creation and Maintenance in Cultural Adaptation——A Discussion on the Formation of the Spring Festival Customs of the Paxi-Dai People

文化适应是移民面临的一个主要问题。帕西傣在适应傣族文化的过程中,创造性地将汉族春节作为自己的节日,在节日中,通过宴请傣族朋友,偿还了傣历新年中傣族对他们的盛情款待;并且通过节日,加强了族群凝聚力,彰显了与傣族不同的族群身份。

Cultural adaptation is a main issue confronted by migrants. During cultural adaptation,the Paxi-Dai people have creatively taken the Spring Festival of the Han Group as their own. On this occasion,they pay back the hospitality they have received from the Dai people during the Dai New Year by feasting their Dai friends and thus strengthen their ethnic cohesiveness,demonstrating their ethnic identity different from the Dai Ethnic Group.
