摘要天花，这种曾经是历史上最凶险的传染病夺去了地球上5亿人的生命。它留给人类可怕的回忆，生命在它面前显得如此脆弱；它带给人们痛苦的记忆，侥幸生存者脸上的疤痕成为天花的见证。战胜天花成为人类曾经的梦想。充满智慧的中国人最早发明了人痘接种术，使之成为对抗天花的武器。
