明清时期,全球经济扩张形势的发展把广东推进了世界贸易的大潮中,广东成为纳贡贸易的前沿阵地。被誉为"广东百科全书"、广东番禺人屈大均的《广东新语》比较具体地记述了明清时期"岛夷"(南洋或东西洋)各国与中国纳贡贸易的盛况,尤其是对当时"岛夷"诸国纳贡情况及纳贡贸易物品记载得非常详细。《广东新语》对纳贡贸易的认识和评价独到,与明清时期的主流意识截然不同。

During the Ming Qing Dynasties,being in the forward position of tribute trade,Guangdong was pushed to the tide of world trade along with the global economic expansion.New Comments on Guangdong,known as ＂Guangdong＇s Encyclopedia＂ and written by Qu Dajun,a native of Panyu of Guangdong,gave a detailed record of the booming tribute trade between China and South,East and West Asian countries during the Ming Qing Dynasties.The author had his unique recognition and opinion on the tribute trade,which was quite different from the mainstream ideology of the then society.
