The present paper overviews the traditional technologies and status quo of the sludge treatment and introduces various sludge treatment methods such as sanitary landfill,incineration,land-use purposed treatment and ocean dumping or deep-sea disposal and discusses new technologies and development trends for the sludge disposal.
