The blood vessels were regulated by both perivascular nerve plexus and endothelialcells whereas there are some non-innervated blood vessels in the body, for example, the humanumbilical blood vessels. It isn't clear whether it has the local regulation mechanism. This workpresented the evidences that there are local regulation mechanism in the non-innervated bloodvessels, where the endothelial cells synthesizing and secreting vasoactive peptides as local trans-duction signals.
