Discussion About a New Method for Evaluating Fine Aggregate Angularity

摘要 分析了细集料棱角性常用评价方法的缺点,提出了一种新方法-CAR(Compacted Aggregate Resistance)法。该方法为单轴贯入试验,用贯入荷载表征细集料棱角性,试验结果表明,该方法能较好地评价细集料的形状和棱角性,CAR值与沥青混合料高温性能有较好的相关性。 Having analyzed the drawbacks of general evaluation methods of fine aggregate angularity, a new method-CAR (Compacted Aggregate Resistance) method, is presented in this paper. CAR is a uniaxial penetration test method, with which the fine aggregate angularity can be evaluated. Experimental re- sults prove that this new method can efficiently evaluate fine aggregate angularity, CAR test results correspond with high temperature stability of asphalt mixture.
