论高等学校专业结构调整的原则与策略

On the Principles Followed and Strategies Adopted in the Adjustment of Specialty Structure in Institutions of Higher Learning

文章提出专业结构调整是高等学校提高质量的基础和前提,是形成高校办学特色、提高自主创新能力的需要,也是提高人才培养质量、满足经济社会发展的需要。高校应遵循主动适应社会经济发展,遵循规模与质量并重、讲求效益、突出特色等原则,从合理规划本校专业布局与结构、加强优势特色专业建设、注重专业内涵建设、完善专业设置机制、改造提升传统专业和基础学科专业等策略入手,实施专业结构调整。

The adjustment of specialty structure is the foundation and premise of improving teaching quality of institutions of higher education,and the requirement for forming school-running characteristics,enhancing initiative innovation,improving talent quality,and keeping pace with the economic and social development.In order to achieve the specialty adjustment,institutions of higher learning should take the initiative in following such principles as adapting to the economic and social development,paying equal attention to quantity and quality,laying emphasis on benefits,giving prominence to characteristics,etc.,and adopting such strategies as designing specialty distribution and structure reasonably,strengthening the construction of characteristic specialties,attaching importance to the connotation construction of the curriculum,perfecting curriculum design mechanism,rebuilding and improving traditional and basic disciplines and specialties,and so on.
