Writing: The New Focus of College English Reform A Comment on "College English Curriculum Requirements"

《大学英语课程教学要求》实施5年来,我国大学英语写作教学改革取得的了丰硕的成果,同时也存在一些问题。从改革历程、现状以及外语习得理论的角度来看,当前大学英语改革重心应该转移到英语写作上,应从教学要求、课程结构、教学模式和考试制度等方面进一步深化教学改革,调整课程结构,确立英语写作中心地位。

China has made considerable achievement in English teaching since College English Curriculum Requirements was executed in 2004.However,some problems still need to be concerned.In view of the reform process,the present situation and the theory about second language acquisition,the focus of college reform is thought necessary and appropriate to be shifted to writing.Priority should be given to writing reform in term of the teaching requirements,course arrangement,teaching modes and testing.
