摘要
社会语言学是研究语言结构与社会语境中语言使用的一种学说,它把"语言"作为研究内容,考察社会对语言的影响,揭示语言的本质。品牌名称与社会语言学理论有着密切的关系,蕴含了语义预设、性别差异、社会语境等大量的社会语言学理论。
Sociolinguistics is the study of language use including language structure and social context.It studies‘language’ as its target to investigate the social impact on languages and reveals the essence of languages.Thus,brand names are closely related to the theories of sociolinguistics.It seems the brand name is just a simple word or a phrase;actually it contains the theories of semantic presupposition,gender differences,social context and etc.from the perspective of sociolinguistics.
