除了作为主体的楚族群之外,吴、越、巴、蜀等地缘共生族群在楚地辉煌的文明成就中扮演着重要角色。这些族群各有其不同的来源,与楚人的关系也各不相同。在楚文化的整合下,地缘共生族群与楚族群一起创造出南楚地区的文明,其过程是从地缘族群的多元共生、文化交流到渐进融合。

Besides the Chu group,other ethnic groups which lived in the Chu region such as Wu,Yue,Ba,Shu also played very important role in the glory of Chu civilization.These ethnic groups came form different origins and had different relation with Chu.With the integration of Chu culture,these ethnic groups,together with Chu group,created the Chu civilization with a process from coexistence to cultural exchange and gradual combination.
