Taking as a case study the 275th poem of Emily Dickinson,the paper illustrates its intrinsic beauty in form and content by making a functional stylistic analysis of those deflections in rhythmic patterns,graphology and lexicon.In Particular,the paper uncovers its underlying theme that by pouring her grievances the poetess expresses her longing for a holy faithful love and her strong emotions of adoration and worship to her companion.Such a stylistic approach is conducive to literature teaching,particularly poetry.
