摘要
为探讨性格倾向对英语学习的影响,对太原科技大学人文系350名大学一年级学生作了调查,探讨了性格倾向对大学生听、说、读、写四种基本能力以及其它各语言项目产生的影响,同时探讨了性格是否影响大学生对英语学习策略的使用。结果发现:在英语学习成绩方面,性格倾向对大学生的英语学习总成绩影响不大,但内向型学生倾向于在阅读理解、完型填空方面取得好成绩,而外向型学生则倾向于在口语与写作方面取得好成绩;在学习策略的使用方面,内向型学生能比较好地使用形式操练策略与精确度策略,外向型学生能较好地使用意义操练策略,流利度策略及交际策略。
Based on the investigation into 350 fresh students of Department of Humanities in Taiyuan University of Science and Technology,the paper explores the impact of the personality tendencies of college students on their four basic skills(listening,speaking,reading and writing) as well as other items of English language,and it also explores whether the personality affects the usage of English learning strategies.The results indicate that(1) There is no significant impact of the personality tendencies of college students on their total English score,however,the personality tendencies of college students has a greater influence on the other items of English language;(2) College students who are introverted are good at reading comprehension and cloze while those who are extroverted are good at speaking and writing.At the same time,the study shows that the former can use formal practice strategy and functional practice strategy better while the latter can employ inference strategies,monitoring strategies and communicational strategies.
