纽马克理论视角下政治演说辞的翻译原则探讨——以《奥巴马胜选演说辞》为例

The Translating Principles for Political Speech in Newmark's Theory——Take Obama's Winning Speech as an Example

对于政治演说辞的翻译原则,曾有不少学者对其进行过探讨,但这些探讨大都局限于文体方面的考量。本文从纽马克的"交际翻译"与"语义翻译"理论出发,以《奥巴马胜选演说辞》为例,从语言功能、信息量和文体风格三个角度提出了政治演讲辞中合理应用纽马克理论的三条原则,并强调了它们之间的互动与协商。

Many scholars made their efforts to spot a proper principle for the translation of political speech,most of which turned out to be a stylistic concern.With the help of Newmark＇s ＂communicative translation＂ and ＂semantic translation＂ theory,this article took Obama＇s Winning Speech as an example to explore the translating principles for political speech.The principles presented here are concentrated on the function of language,message convey and stylistic feature.It is stressed that translators should weigh between the three principles.
