Five-year Academic and Administrating Experience of Professor Shen Lianzhi in National Jinan University

沈炼之是我国20世纪著名的历史学家、教育家和翻译家,也是我国法国史研究的重要奠基人,为我国世界史研究和中法文化交流作出了卓越贡献.20世纪40年代中后期在国立暨南大学的五年学术与任职经历,是其早年学术生涯的重要一页.其学术与任职经历表现为四个方面:一是担任国立暨南大学文学院史地系教授;二是担任国立暨南大学文学院院长和史地系主任;三是积极指导国立暨南大学学生的学术与社团活动;四是担任国立暨南大学代校长.

Shen Lianzhi, a famous Chinese historian, educator and translator in the 20th century, was an important founder of the research on French history in China. He had made remarkable contributions to the Chinese research on the world history and Sino-French cultural exchange. His five-year academic and administrating experience in National Jinan University in the mid and late 1940s was very important in the early period of his academic career. His academic and administrating experience in this period included working as professor of the department of history and geography with the college of Chinese language and culture in National Jinan University; as head of the college and dean of the department; as tutor of the students＇ academic and social activities; and as acting president of the university
