This paper expounds the definition of computer multimedia technology and the advantages of applying it to education;analyzes the vantages of multimedia in chemistry teaching compared to traditional teaching method;points out the current situation and the existing problems in applying multimedia in classroom teaching;treats the principles and ways of solving the problems and finally taking Powerpoint as an example,connecting with some other examples of courseware making,summarizes the experiences and application strategies of chemistry courseware designing and making.
