龚政宇将粤北山区传统的民间活动"马灯"改造成"马灯剧"《偷青》[1](8-69),为开采民间文化艺术瑰宝做出了有益的探索和贡献。《偷青》一剧在创作方面,将古老的表演形式与传统的生活习俗有机地统一、热闹的喜剧场景与进步的思想内容紧密地交融、固有的马灯程式与新添的艺术手段巧妙地结合,构织了幽默风趣、意蕴深厚的喜剧情节,塑造了一位亦庄亦谐、与民同乐、爱民亲民的县官形象。它给人的启示是对待传统的民间文化,我们必须运用继承与创新相结合的态度和方法,才能使之焕发出艺术的生命力,更好地为今天的现实生活服务。

Gong Zhen gyu transformed Guangdong＇s traditional folk activity ＂ the horse lantern＂ in the northern area into ＂Stealing Vegetables＂,which has made the beneficial exploration and contribution to exploiting the treasure in folk culture and art. ＂Stealing Vegetables＂ which is united organically with traditional performance and life styles in the aspect of creation,melted closely with bustling comedy scenes and advanced thoughts,and integrated ingeniously with original horse lantern performance and new artistic methods,organizes and constructs the humorous and amorous comedy plots,and creates a magistrate image into a person who is both strict and humorous,enjoys good time together with people,loves his people and cherishes the people.Its enlightenment tells us that we should treat the traditional folk culture with the attitude and method of integrating the succession with innovation,so that it can glow out the vitality of art for the better service of life in reality at present.
