社会的发展受地理环境的制约,尤其是在生产力低下的时候,这种制约性就越明显。在中国古代,社会的发展与中国的气候地理密切相关,它包括经济发展和北方疆域开拓以及中国治乱等各个方面。研究中国古代史,应该把地理知识和历史知识结合起来,培养跨学科的综合能力,才能更好地解释某些问题。

Social development is affected by the geographic environments, and affected even more obviously under the lower productivity. Social development was closely connected with climate geography in ancient China, which ineluding economic development, territorial expansion in North China and preservation of law and order, etc. Research of the ancient Chinese history should be carried out in combination with geographie and historic knowledge to cultivate the integrated ability of interdisciplinary for the better solutions of some problems.
