The New Type of Ideological Education Movement Centering on Meetings of Pouring Out Grievances during the Liberation War

中共军队在解放战争中迅速击败国民党军队的根本原因是两者精神力量的差别,解放军是有信仰的军队,而国民党军队没有信仰,有信仰的军队即使装备落后、人数较少但仍具有强大的战斗力。大批解放军战士获得这种信仰的有效形式是以诉苦会为中心的新式整军运动,在改造数百万俘虏兵的过程中,这一形式的效果尤为显著。

The decisive factor for the Communist army to rapidly rout the Kuommtang army dunng the Liberation War was the difference in their mental outlook： the People＇ s Liberation Army （PLA） had a strong faith while the Kuomintang troops had none. An army with a strong faith has powerful combat capabilities even with a smaller number of soldiers and outmoded weapons. The PLA soldiers acquired this faith through the new type of ideolog- ical education movement centering on meetings of pouring out grievances. This type of education was particularly effective in the ideological transformation of millions of prisoners of war.
