Chemical Cleaning of Reverse Osmosis Membranes Fouled in the Process of the Reclaimed Water Reuse

The cause of fouling and chemical cleaning of reverse osmosis membranes used in the process of the reclaimed water reuse was introduced. It is shown that the performance of membrane can be restored to use complex chemical cleaning agents and cleaning process combined with acid cleaning and alkaline cleaning. As for heavy contamination, it is favorable to restore performance of mem- brane when cycling and soaking time is prolonged appropriately and the stripping and dispersing agent was added at the same time.
