Necessity of Lead-in Culture Background Knowledge in English Teaching

近年来,国际交往的不断增加以及经济全球化进程的加速,大大冲击着传统的外语教学模式,单纯的语言知识教学已经远远不能适应时代的要求。要真正掌握英语,除了需要获得一定的语言知识外,还必须熟悉英语文化背景知识。从文化背景知识的作用及重要性方面来阐述英语教学中导入文化背景知识的必要性。

In recent years, the increase of international contact and acceleration of economic globalization greatly attack the traditional foreign language teaching. Mere knowledge of language teaching can not meet the requirements of the times. To truly master the English language, besides some knowledge of it, we must be familiar with the background knowledge of English culture. By means of the function and importance of the culture background, the author states the necessity of the introduction of culture background in English teaching.
