一辆配备玉柴YC4G180—30国Ⅲ发动机的厦门金旅XML6807J13中型客车，行驶6880km时，突然出现发动机故障红色指示灯亮，随即发动机熄火的情况。驾驶员误认为是油路出了问题，检查燃油连接的管路并利用手油泵对燃油系统进行排气。随后打开点火开关，故障红色指示灯仍然报警；启动发动机，有着车迹象，但不能着车运转。
Based on analysis of a failure accident of engine start-up of Xiamen Golden Dragon bus, the article introduced in detail how mechanic scanned every possible errors from electricity-circuit, oil-transmit and matches among various sensors, and finally solved the problem.
