2009年将辉耀中国汽车工业史册。这年10月20日，中国实现了当年汽车产量达到1000万辆的里程碑性的突破，是继美国和日本之后成为世界上第3个年产1000万辆汽车的国家。在全球汽车市场处在一派冬寒的时节，这边春光独好，2009年生产汽车1379．1万辆，销售汽车1364．5万辆，产、销分别增长48.3％和46．15％，商用车产、销340．72万辆和331．35万辆，分别增长33．02％和28．39％。
