青海玉树发生7．1级地震，突如其来的灾难给人民生命财产造成巨大损失。“一方有难，八方支援”。2010年5月7日中午，湖北襄樊，一辆载着东风康明斯发电机组的货车从东风康明斯发动机公司厂区出发，奔赴玉树，以帮助当地恢复电力供应；而在此前，东风康明斯还为云南干旱地区捐献了配备东风康明斯B系列发动机的水泵机组一套，以备居民生活及灌溉抽水使用。解危纾困，东风康明斯在危难之时，再次实践了自己的企业社会责任。
