Prospect of the Global Plastic Industry at the Beginning of 21st Century

对20世纪末世界塑料工业生产和主要技术进行简单回顾,重点对21世纪初世界塑料工业面临的机遇和挑战、技术发展及环境保护问题等方面进行展望。

This paper briefly reviewed the status of commercial production and main technical progresses of the global plastic industry in the last decade of the 20th century. Facing the opportunity and challenge coexisted at the beginning of the 21st century, the plastic industry was predicted to concentrate its effort on the technical development and the environmental protection.
