Nationality Critique: Modern Exposition of Wife Lending——Reading Slave Mother by Rou Shi

深受五四以来人道主义思想影响的柔石,凭借其过人的创作天赋和独到的乡村审察视角,创作出乡土文学经典之作《为奴隶的母亲》,将20世纪20年代以浙东为缩影的中国乡村凄凉的社会现实展示得淋漓尽致。同时,他继承了自鲁迅以来的现代国民性批判思想传统,从历史的视角进行了新的发掘,极大地丰富和完善了国民性批判这一主题的内涵。

Rou Shi,influenced by the humanitarianism of the May 4th Movement,wrote his masterpiece Slave Mother,in which the social reality of Chinese rural desolation in the 20s of the 20th century was portrayed most vividly.He inherited the modern nationality criticism from Lu Xun and made a new excavation from a historical perspective,greatly enriched and consummated the connotation of the nationality critique.
