TD-LTE technology trial to accelerate the formation of sector chain

当前,工业和信息化部正在积极组织TD-LTE产业链相关企业在北京的怀柔和顺义两大外场进行相关测试。从6月开始,将进行TD-LTE终端和芯片测试,到今年9月进入TD-LTE芯片和设备的互操作测试阶段。种种迹象表明,TD-LTE的研发和产业化进程正在加速。

Recently, at the 'NGMN Industry Conference 2010', the leader of MIIT said MIIT is organizing enterprises in the chain of TD-LTE sector to carry out the trail in Huairou and Shunyi district in Bejing, the test of TD-LTE terminals and chips will start in June, and the interoperability testing of TD-LTE chips and equipments will start in September. In addition, China Mobile will launch large-scale TD-LTE networking trails at home even abroad in the second half of this year. There are indications that, the commercial process of TD-LTE has been quietly accelerated. In recent years, TD-LTE working group was set up under the leadership of MIIT, to promote the R&D and industrialization of TD-LTE through formulating the overall promotion plan and making arrangements in technology trail and test standards. The whole trial is to proceed in three stages, i.e. proof of concept, technical trial and scale trial. At present, proof of concept has been completed, and it has entered into the critical stage of technical trial, which shows the sector chain is gradually formed.
