Willa Cather＇s O Pioneers!, which was published in 1913, is a novel full of the flavor of the American western prairie. This paper argues that garden which is a part of nature has an intimate relationship with the female pioneers and it is a place where female pioneers have communication with nature and express themselves. The images of garden present us with a harmonious picture of ecological significance.
