An Analysis of Media Discourse from a Functional Grammar Perspective

媒体语言是媒体传播中重要的一个部分,也是语篇分析的一项重要内容。从系统功能语言学的角度,运用功能语法的人际功能和语篇功能,分析不同媒介报道体育新闻的语篇,探讨英文媒体语言的交际目的及其体现方式很有必要。

Interpersonal and textual metafunctions of functional grammar have been applied to the analysis of two different media articles reporting the same football match. In terms of Mood, modality and Theme respectively, the communicative purposes of the texts and their realization have been explored.
