在我国翻译史上,通事是旧时对翻译人员的称呼。但是,通事的词义在历史上发生了很大的演变。《汉语大词典》等权威工具书对这些变化都缺乏必要的反应。在这里,我们全面探讨了通事一词的词义,及其从古至今发生的词义变迁。

Tongshi is a term to designate translators in old times. But the meanings of tongshi have gone through many changes in history, and many of these meanings are even not included in The Great Dictionary of the Chinese Language. This paper explores the different meanings and the semantic changes of tongshi.
