不同构思时间对非英语专业学生英语写作质量的影响 被引量:14

Impact of different lengths of planning time on EFL writing performance

摘要 本研究探索了3、6、10分钟不同构思时间对学生英语写作质量的影响。写作质量从流利性、复杂性和准确性三方面进行评估。研究结果表明,写作质量的三个方面都有随构思时间延长而提高的趋势,但仅在构思时间为6分钟时才显著提高。另外,词汇变化度仅在构思时间为10分钟时才显著增加,无误从句在构思时间为3分钟时即可显著增加。研究结果用Kellog的写作模型得到了满意的解释。本研究对写作教学和测试都有一定的启示。 This study intends to explore systematically the effects of 3-, 6-, 10-minute planning time on EFL writing performance. The written products are assessed in terms of fluency, complexity and accuracy. Results show that the effects of planning time on the three aspects of writing quality become evident when 6 minutes is given for planning. Lexical variety only significantly increases when 10 minutes is given for planning, while increase in error-free clauses becomes evident when 3 minutes is given. The findings from this study have been satisfactorily interpreted with Kellog's writing model, and have significant implications for both teaching and testing of L2 writing.
