A Long Way to Go to Achieve the Goal——Thinking made based on the Manifesto of Libraries Service

中国图书馆学会于2008年10月发布了《图书馆服务宣言》。《宣言》除了开篇语外,同时提出了七条目标。文章分析了当前图书馆存在的许多问题和不足,认为这些问题和不足是图书馆实现目标所面临的困难和障碍。这些困难和障碍既有主观方面的也有客观方面的,要全面实现《宣言》所定的目标,将是一段漫长而艰难的过程,图书馆人任重而道远。

The Manifesto of Libraries Service issued by the Library Society of China in Oct.2008 proposed seven targets besides the opening statement.This paper analyzes the problems and shortcomings existing in the libraries nowadays to point out that the problems and shortcomings are the difficulties and obstacles to prevent us from achieving the goal.And the difficulties and obstacles are both subjective and objective,therefore it is still a long way for us to go to fully accomplish the targets set by the Manifesto for it is an enduring and difficult process.
