The paper stndied the future developing trend about intelligent metering technoligy, and pointed that in the advanced metering system, between electric power company and user there exists energy exchange to realize reasonable using electrictity and reduce energy loss. In addition, intelligent meters, combined with every kind of communication mode, satisfy remote inter reading and charge collection, management decision-making and engineering analysis, which are the demand of future power grid developing trend.
