Confucius on Beauty

孔子眼中的"美",主要指自然美、人格美、艺术美,其美学思想主旨是"尽善尽美"的观点,"美"与"善"的关系是其美学思想的核心。大体分为两个方面:一是美善同一观;二是美的形式与善的内容相统一的美善对立统一观。孔子所开创的"比德"思维方式,在美学史上具有奠基性的作用。

＂Beauty＂ in the eyes of Confucius,mainly refers to the natural beauty,personality beauty and artistic beauty.＂Perfect＂ is the essence of his theory.The relationship between ＂beauty＂ and ＂good＂ is the core of his theory,which can be divided into two aspects：on one hand,beauty and good belong to the ＂one and the same＂ category;on the other hand,unity of opposites,which believes the form of beauty unifies the content of good.＂Comparing the morality＂ is a way of thinking created by Confucius,which plays a ground-breaking role in the aesthetic history.
