On Monitoring Chronic Diseases by Using Modern Information Technologies

从作者本人作为高血压病人利用IT技术、监护中心和软件技术两年多的监控实践,实现基本上达到将血压控制在正常范围的例子,说明用IT技术和数字化的重要生命体征监护相结合,实现对慢性病的监控的可行性和优越性。这种做法对构建我国基本医疗保障体系,解决"看病贵、看病难"有积极的促进作用。同时,探讨在推广此类新型医疗模式的过程中遇到的种种障碍和需要克服的一系列困难。

The author of this article, as a hypertension patient, after being monitored for over two years with information technologies （IT）, monitoring center and software technology, has managed to control his blood pressure in a generally normal range. With this personal experience as an example, the author illustrates the feasibility and advantages of combining IT and digital vital sign monitoring to monitor chronic diseases. Such practice shall actively promote the establishment of the basic medical care system and solving the problem of expensive and insufficient medical services in our country. In the meantime, various obstacles and a series of difficulties in the process of promoting such a new medical mode to be overcome are explored.
