Progress in Human Rhinovirus

鼻病毒(HRV)是普通感冒最重要的病原体。近年来,大量实验研究表明HRV不仅可以引起上呼吸道感染,而且与细支气管炎、肺炎、哮喘加重等下呼吸道疾病也密切相关。HRV与其他呼吸道病毒和细菌的共同感染也屡见报道。最近,研究者们又发现了HRV新基因型HRV-C。HRV引发呼吸道疾病的具体致病机制还不十分清楚,有待进一步研究。

Human rhinovirus（ HRV） is the most common viral agent. Extensive evidence has dem- onstrated that HRV is not exclusively located in the upper airways and may cause lower respiratory tract infections,such as bronchiolitis,pneumonia and asthma exacerbation. Co - infections with other respiratory viruses and bacteria have also been reported. Recently,molecular methods have identified a novel HRV genogroup HRV - C. How HRV infects lower respiratory tract is not fully understood.
