A Study on Liu Tianhua's Thoughts of National Music

刘天华是我国著名的民族音乐作曲家、演奏家、教育家、革新家。在其"国乐改进"为核心的艺术理想指导下,借鉴外国音乐科学理论,以国乐传统为基础、西洋技法为辅助,大胆创新,通过在民族乐器改革、民族音乐搜集创作、民族音乐教学及音乐理论改革等方面的革故鼎新,推动了我国的民族音乐事业的发展,使我国的国乐面貌焕然一新,为我国民族音乐事业做出了卓越的贡献。他所主张的音乐既要根植于民族又要打开窗户与世界同步的思想在当时乃至今天都具有划时代的历史意义。

Liu Tianhua,was one of the most outstanding national composers,performers,educators and reformers.According to his artistic ideal of ＂improving national music＂,his scientific theory based on our traditional music,theory of learning form foreign countries and drawing on their experience and idea of daring to innovation,through taking the initiative in the reform of national musical instruments,education and music theories,collecting national musical material,which pushed forward the development of national music and made a contribution to it.It is universally acknowledged that,his viewpoint of laying a solid basis on our national music but also drawing lessons from foreign countries has great historic significance.
