On Chinese Buddhism Music

佛教音乐始于印度,初以梵文念唱又称梵呗。梵呗由西域传到中原,至近现代,经过了长久、复杂的变化过程,形成了现有的唱腔、结构、调式、记谱等。而近现代的衰微让我们不得不去探索,去挖掘、整理、抢救这中华文明的瑰宝。

Buddhism music originated form India,at first,it was chanted with Sanskrit,so called Fanbai.Fanbai was introduced into the Central Plains in China through the Western Regions,and it went through a long and complicated course,then,came into being its own vocal music in Buddhism music,structure,mode,musical notation,however,at present,its decline forces us to make an exploration and excavation,in order to rescue the national treasure.
