Li Xining rose to fame by promoting innovation and reform in contemporary acrobatic performances. Her acrobatics in ＂Hidden Dragon and Crouching Tiger,＂ ＂Taiji＂ and ＂Shaolin Warriors＂ were well received by domestic and foreign audiences, and, given such performances, she became known as a ＂woman of wonder.＂ The ＂Dragon and Lion＂ program, a gala broadcast by TV stations and developed in cooperation with Sun Circus, won three Emmy Awards in 2001.
