On Modern Enlightenment of Ideal Personality of the Confucians in the Early Qin Dynasty

设计和成就理想人格是历代中国哲人孜孜以求的重大人生目标。先秦儒家教育者设计的理想人格对中华民族的个性品质和人格培育产生过深远的影响。虽然它自身不可避免地具有因封建社会历史条件带来的狭隘性、局限性,但在一定程度上它无疑为我们提供了丰富的思想资源,而且对我们现代社会理想人格的建构具有深刻的启发意义。

Designing and forming ideal personality is one vital target which ancient philosophers pursue all their lives. The ideal personality designed by Confucian educators in early Qin Dynasty exerted great influence on the Chinese national personality. Though it has inevitably feudalist limit because of historical reasons, it undoubtedly offers us rich ideological resources and has deep inspiration to the construction of ideal personality in modem society.
