摘要
小波变换由于具有良好的空间—频率局部化特性而备受各领域研究者的重视。本文对基于小波变换的静止图像压缩近十年来的研究进展作了比较全面的综述,着重分析了一类性能优异的零树压缩算法,并探讨了今后静止图像压缩可能的发展方向。
Wavelet transform is of most interest of many researchers because of its very good spatial-frequencial localization characteristics. This paper summarizes research progress on still image compression methods based on wavelet transform since the last decade. Several excellent zero-tree compression algorithms are thoroughly analyzed. We also conjecture the future research directions of still image compression.
