Comparing Chinese and Western Military Culture and Understanding the Military Culture of Southwest Ethnic Minorities

Every nation has its own unique culture,in which military culture is rooted. Chinese military culture,which is originated from the mainland agriculture civilization,is distinguished from its western counterpart,which grows out of the marine commercial civilization. The differences in between are as follow：Chinese military culture attaches importance to justice but ignores interests,attaches importance to morale but ignores weapons,attaches importance to intelligence and strategies and prefers peace,while western military culture is the other around in all the above-mentioned aspects. Being representative of the Chinese nation,the military culture of the southwest ethnic minorities not only cherishes peace and charity,which are the advantages of Chinese military culture,but also conform to progress,which is the advantage of western military culture. Comparing the similarities and contrasting the differences between Chinese and western military culture,and understanding the military culture of the southwest ethnic minorities will play important roles in further developing the value of Chinese military culture.
