A Synthetic Integration of Urban Mass Transit

从可持续发展的角度分析了加快发展城市轨道交通建设的若干问题,提出了集成的城市规划、城市轨道交通规划、土地利用规划以及环境规划思想。着重分析了轨道交通和电气化公共交通在城市综合运输体系中的地位与作用,讨论了建立以轨道交通为核心的城市公共交通联运系统的必要性和措施。

Focusing on the situation of and the role played by rail transportation and electric transportation in the integrated urban traffic system, the author analyses, from the viewpoint of sustainable development, some problems on accelerating UMT construction, and puts forward an integrated city planning, including transportation, land use and environment conservation. Finally, the author discusses the necessity and practical measures of urban comprehensive transportation system with rail transportation as its backbone.
